Wow!
How is our countdown already at 19 days? We officially leave for Myrtle Beach on June 29th. We have been head down with our hands open as we continue to pack, work through logistical moving items, organize, fundraise, and soak up our last few weeks in Florida, all while continuing to share the heart and vision of SOL!
Our primary focus over the coming months is building our financial support team so we can relocate, serve the city, develop leaders, and establish a strong foundation for the church. If you've been following our journey and wondering how to help, financial partnership is one of the most impactful ways you can be involved right now. Along with your prayers, it helps turn this vision into reality.
We thought it would be helpful to share our roadmap for the months ahead as we prepare to move to Myrtle Beach. While each phase represents an important step in planting SOL, none of it happens without partners who choose to invest in the vision.
Rather than rushing to a launch date for SOL, we are focusing on creating a foundation of prayer, discipleship, leadership, and community development.
Phase 1: Move & Establish Roots
Our family relocates to Myrtle Beach and begins putting down roots. We'll serve, invite, build relationships, and attend a church planting network discovery event at the end of August.
Phase 2: Minister, Build & Cast Vision
Carson's church planting residency begins at a local church in Myrtle. We'll host prayer gatherings in our home, share meals around our table, build relationships, and immerse ourselves in the life of the city while receiving coaching and training.
Phase 3: Vision Nights & Core Team Development
As momentum grows, we'll focus on culture, prayer, and team building. Monthly vision nights will help gather those who want to be part of what God is building through SOL. We are targeting this to be in early 2027.
Phase 4: Teams & Launch Preparation
We'll complete our residency in the summer of 2027, strengthen our core team, continue casting vision, and prepare every aspect of the church for launch with the help of a few church planting networks.
Phase 5: Public Launch
After more than a year of building relationships, developing leaders, serving the community, and laying a strong foundation, SOL will officially launch in Myrtle Beach!
While we know God has given us this vision and loose timeline, we also know the Holy Spirit will be the driving force of our ultimate timeline. We've been clinging to Proverbs 16:9 – "We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps."
