Our family is officially putting down roots here in Myrtle and gearing up for Fall 2026.
These last few months have been a whirlwind—bringing deeper faith, new friendships, and so much growth to our family.
No new journey is easy. We would be lying if we said every day has been smooth. But we have been so blessed by God and the support of so many people as we’ve dug our roots into our new home, routines, schools, city, and church.
Erin & I wanted to share a few key things in Myrtle that have been foundational for our family & our church planting mission ahead.
Home & Heart
We’re in the Forestbrook area, right in the heart of South Central Myrtle. It’s close to so many things we didn’t realize when we first moved here. We're getting the lay of the land and finding our groove & our daily rhythms.
We’ve spent hours drawing & praying over this map, and it’s been encouraging to see it all come to life these last 3 months.
Case Kids & School
Cash has started Kindergarten & Cruz is in pre-K. Full classes. New friendships. Pick-up & drop-off routines we never knew could be so crazy.
The boys have great teachers & families that we are excited to spend time with this school season. One of the hardest parts of rooting down in Myrtle was watching our sons navigate all of the emotions that came with so much New.
We are so thankful to say that they’ve begun to thrive in their new spaces & communities and look forward to school every week. Spirit Week! Local ice cream nights! Meet the teachers! Park meet-ups with new friends! These moments & new friends have brought them so much joy.
Our little girl Phoenix is just as smiley as can be and along for the ride!
Daily Bread
This has become a family anthem & prayer for our family since moving.
God gives daily bread.
Instead of thinking so far ahead as a family on a mission in a new place, we’ve prayed for daily bread. Daily food. Daily drink. Daily moments & encouragement in our faith. This mindset has helped us be present & own our days versus thinking too far ahead.
This has come in the form of tangible things, new people, open doors, and just JOY that we couldn’t come up with ourselves.
Grateful for the daily bread.
Divine Appointments: The Mall
What originally felt like an inconvenience—joining a gym connected to Coastal Grand Mall—has turned into a surprising stream of God moments.
From walking the mall to playing in the indoor mall playground, we have met people we probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise.
We've been able to share the Gospel numerous times, spark a new conversation & even invite new friends into our life.
It’s been one of those reminders that sometimes God uses things that we may not have wanted and turns them into Divine appointments.
Open Door Policy
God gave us a new home in Myrtle, and we plan to establish a culture we’ve believed in for all of our marriage. We plan to host, feed, love & welcome in as many people as possible every month.
If we have one strategy for friendship and ministry, it’s simple: open the door of our home to all people, often.
Set the table. Break bread. Give people space. Lean into a life of community.
Our home has already been a blessing to host dinner parties, prayer meetings & new families.
We believe that ministry will start & overflow from the Living Room + kitchen table.
The Local Church
The move to Myrtle & planting a church did not go without believing for a church to belong to FIRST.
This has become The Rock Church in the Conway + Myrtle Beach area.
We’ve been so grateful for their pastors, team & the way they welcomed our family from Day 1.
They helped move us into our home. We’ve joined them on Sundays, Mondays & Thursdays. We’ve met with leadership about church planting & shared meals with the team.
I’m excited to say that we have officially partnered with The Rock Church for SOL & the future of our church planting this year.
This is a Church that we will be submitting to, serving, learning from, and doing life with on the journey to seeing SOL be birthed.
Coastal Carolina University
It has been full circle for us living back near our alma mater.
To be on campus, going to football games, and taking our kids along for the ride has been surreal.
We have been able to get involved with a student-led run club, Run With Christ, as a family, and Erin has been able to get back involved with her sorority!
Go Chants!
These last few months as a family have been full of joy & favor.
Joy defined as “deep, lasting inner contentment and gladness that comes from God, rather than changing external circumstances.”
Let our lives be marked by Joy. Psalm 40:16
Thank you to all of you who have been praying, supporting, and following our journey.
We are so excited for the days ahead for SOL.
We love you,
Carson & Erin
