This past week has felt like a lot.
Over the course of just a few days, all three of our kids got hit with the stomach bug — one after another. Lots of puke, lots of laundry, and honestly… lots of praying. It knocked our family down pretty hard for a bit, but we’re thankful for the people around us who stepped in and helped carry us through. Our village here has shown up in a big way.
Even in the middle of sickness and chaos, Erin somehow kept packing the house after a few days of being down for the count.
One huge win this week: our website is officially LIVE. That feels significant. It’s one more tangible piece of this vision becoming real.
We’ve also been incredibly grateful for our Board of Directors. They’ve been a huge support as we prepare for this move and continue building the foundation for SOL.
At the same time, finances are still a real need. We’re continuing to pray and trust the Lord to provide — as He always has — even when it doesn’t look the way we expect. We’ve already had the opportunity to begin partnering with a few churches, along with friends and family, which has been deeply encouraging. If you’ve been considering giving or partnering with us financially, now is a meaningful time to do that as we step into this next season!
If church planting matters to your church, or you know a pastor, leader, or business owner who believes in advancing the Kingdom, we would love an introduction. These connections matter more than you know.
One of the harder moments this week was hosting our last small group here. For the last three years, we’ve opened our home to this group of people, and somewhere along the way, they became some of our closest friends. It was special, emotional, and another reminder that this move is costing something.
Also in the middle of all of this, we got to celebrate Carson’s 31st birthday — which felt like a gift in itself. I’m grateful for another year of life and full of expectation for the growth the Lord has ahead.
As we head into the final stretch, we’d love your prayers.
Pray for:
Physical health for our family
Smooth final packing and moving logistics
Relationships to begin blooming in Myrtle Beach
Divine connections and favor as we step into this next season
And if you know anyone in Myrtle Beach looking to build something from the ground up — someone hungry for prayer, presence, and community — would you share our new website with them?
Next week we load the U-Haul, and on Monday the 29th, we hit the road.
We’re close now.
Thank you for praying, giving, encouraging, and walking with us. It means more than we can say.
With love, Carson & Erin
